ABOUT

ABOUT

Aquatic Capital of America Foundation (ACOA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2008.

The primary mission of ACOA is to support Youth Aquatics in Long Beach. There are currently two primary initiatives administered by ACOA: Waterproof Our Youth and Grants for Gear. These two initiatives provide funding for local Long Beach youth aquatic programs and the gear needed by them to participate.

ACOA holds two annual fund raising events whose proceeds support these programs: The Annual Awards Banquet The Annual Hall of Fame Banquet.

We are all Stewards of our local rivers, creeks, wetlands, bays and ocean. All are crucial for us to sustain and pass on to future generations. Los Cerritos Wetlands Stewards provides our Leadership Team with direction on how best to safeguard our local waterways. Algalita Marine Research and Education and the Moore Institute advise us on water quality and plastic pollution issues.

The Aquatic Capital Foundation’s membership includes athletes from Sailing, Rowing, Outrigger Canoes, Dragon Boats, Kayaking, Paddle boarding, Swimming, Water Polo, Surfing, Windsurfing and Diving. We are a fully volunteer organization, and are grateful to all our Executive and Advisory Board Members for their support.
